Instead of using products like apple cider vinegar to trap and drown the pests, a cleaning enthusiast on Reddit suggested using soy sauce, as fruit flies are drawn to fermented substances. Placing soy sauce in a shallow dish covered with cling film and punctured with holes can effectively attract and eliminate fruit flies.
