Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man who was discovered seriously injured on a street in Lanarkshire. The incident took place on General Gate in Uddingston at approximately 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6. The 38-year-old man was found in a critical condition and was swiftly taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated, “Around 7.35pm on Sunday, 6 October 2024, police were called to General’s Gate, Uddingston, where a 38-year-old man was found seriously injured. He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but was pronounced dead on arrival. Officers remain at the scene as the investigation into his death continues.”
