Sick vandals destroy West Lothian nursery’s fairy garden and trash kids’ toys

Staff at First Class Nursery in Livingston Village, West Lothian, faced a distressing scene as they arrived to open up after the weekend. Vandalism had ravaged the nursery’s playground, with toys trashed, ornaments smashed, walls painted on, and a fairy garden destroyed. The perpetrators also made off with children’s paints and opened an Amazon parcel, throwing its contents around. The nursery manager, Katrina Davidson, expressed deep dismay, highlighting the impact on both children and staff who had put in effort to create the fairy garden and maintain the play area.

Davidson appealed to the public for any information or footage that could help identify the vandals, expressing hope that it was an isolated incident. Police Scotland confirmed receiving a report of the damage at the nursery on Kirk Lane, Livingston, with investigations ongoing. The incident left children and staff saddened by the destruction of cherished resources. The community was urged to come forward with any details that could assist in resolving the case and preventing such incidents in the future.
