Ayrshire College celebrates its class of 2024

Ayrshire College recently celebrated the achievements of its class of 2024 at a ceremony held at Ayr Racecourse. Over 300 graduates gathered to commemorate this significant milestone in their educational journeys. These graduates, representing a wide range of talents and disciplines from across the college’s campuses, were honoured for their hard work, resilience, and dedication throughout their studies.

The event brought together students, staff, families, and industry partners to recognise the success of these individuals and highlight Ayrshire College’s commitment to providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in today’s rapidly evolving industries. Angela Cox, the Principal and Chief Executive of Ayrshire College, emphasised that graduation is not only about celebrating current achievements but also about acknowledging the graduates’ potential to shape the future.

Special awards were presented to those who have gone above and beyond, including the Student of the Year and the Making a Difference in the Community awards. Kristine Kennedy, an HND Computer Science graduate, was named the Overall Student of the Year for 2024. Her journey from starting at Level 4 to achieving her HND and now moving on to university exemplifies the values and commitment to excellence fostered at Ayrshire College.

The graduation ceremony also highlighted Ayrshire College’s dedication to promoting inclusive growth and supporting the local economy through innovative education and strong industry partnerships.
