A major search operation is currently underway to locate a missing man in Scotland. Robert Blair, also known as Davie in the local area, was reported missing from Dalkeith on Monday, October 7. The police have enlisted the help of a helicopter and mountain rescue teams to assist in the search efforts. Robert was last seen around 12.30pm in the Oak Place area of Dalkeith.
Described as approximately 5ft 3 ins tall, of medium build with brown hair and a goatee beard, Robert was last seen wearing a blue Regatta jacket, blue jeans, beige boots, a baseball cap, and glasses. The search teams are focusing on the Dalkeith, Mayfield, and Danderhall areas, with specialist resources deployed in the operation.
Sergeant Ali Bruce expressed serious concerns for Robert’s safety and well-being and emphasized the urgency of locating him promptly. The police helicopter and Mountain Rescue Team are actively participating in the search efforts. The search and inquiries are ongoing in the specified areas as the authorities strive to locate Robert.
Authorities have also noted that Robert is known to travel by bus across the country, and efforts are being made to determine if he has used public transport.
