Macron says he’s ‘super proud’ of his wife’s cameo in ‘Emily in Paris’

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his pride in his wife Brigitte’s cameo appearance in the popular Netflix show “Emily in Paris.” Macron mentioned that he does not feel as attractive as his wife when asked if he would also make an appearance on the show, during an interview with Variety.

Brigitte Macron plays herself in one of the new season’s episodes, a role that Macron described as a proud moment for both of them. He believes that her cameo is positive for France’s image and attractiveness, and considers it a good initiative for the country.

Actress Lily Collins, who plays the lead character Emily in the show, revealed that Brigitte Macron had expressed her admiration for the series during a previous meeting with her and the show’s creator, Darren Star. Collins described Brigitte Macron as kind and enthusiastic about being on set, making the experience enjoyable.

In the upcoming season four, Emily’s character embarks on a holiday to Italy. However, Macron has hinted that he wishes for Emily Cooper to return to Paris in future seasons, stating that having the show set in Rome does not align with their vision for the series.

Macron’s supportive comments regarding his wife’s involvement in “Emily in Paris” have garnered attention and praise, highlighting the couple’s shared enthusiasm for cultural collaborations and positive representation of France.
