Twisted Scots Paedophile Assigned Daily Carers Before Death in Jail
Gordon Fraser, a twisted Scots paedophile, passed away at HMP Addiewell on June 5, 2022, just one year after being convicted. The 79-year-old had been sentenced to seven years in October 2021 for historical sexual assaults on two young victims. A Fatal Accident Inquiry determined that his death was due to complications of pulmonary thromboembolism, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and ischaemic heart disease. Fraser, who also suffered from cerebral palsy, was in poor health after being imprisoned and had daily carers visiting him.
Following his conviction, Fraser was assigned daily carers due to his fragile health condition. On November 9, 2021, a “do not attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation” directive was put in place for Fraser at the prison because of his frailty. He was hospitalized at St John’s Hospital in Livingston on February 22, 2022, for treatment of a urinary tract infection and a chest infection. Over the next few months, he had several admissions to the hospital for various health issues, including sepsis and pneumonia.
On June 3, Fraser was taken to the hospital by ambulance but declined admission and left without receiving treatment after being advised of the possibility of deteriorating health and death. This was his final hospital visit, and three days later, he was discovered dead in his cell around 3:54 pm on June 5, 2022.
Fraser had been convicted in 2021 for historic sex crimes at Livingston High Court. He had denied the charges of sexual offences against a boy and a girl, but a jury found him guilty. Despite his pleas of innocence, the pensioner from Dundee was sentenced to seven years in prison and was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
The tragic end to Fraser’s life sheds light on the consequences of his despicable actions and the impact it had on his own health and wellbeing. His demise in prison serves as a stark reminder of the lasting effects of his crimes on both his victims and himself.
