The staffing agency that had placed the officer at Woodbury High School confirmed that he no longer works for them following the disturbing incidents that took place during his time at the school. The officer reportedly shared with students in multiple classes details about his life as a police officer, leading to several concerning behaviours that were later highlighted.
Students alleged that the substitute teacher not only reenacted the actions that led to George Floyd’s death but also made racially insensitive comments, told sexist jokes, discussed graphic details of seeing deceased bodies, made inappropriate statements about police conduct, and even denied the existence of police brutality. These actions were strongly condemned by the school officials, who promptly took action to ensure the officer is banned from the school premises.
The principal of Woodbury High School, together with the superintendent and assistant superintendent of the South Washington County Schools district, issued a letter addressing the incident. They confirmed that the officer in question is prohibited from setting foot on any district property and that the matter has been reported to relevant authorities for further investigation and action.
