‘Vindictive’ daughter posted nude photos of father’s ex on escort website

A woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for a vengeful act of posting sexual images of her father’s former lover on an escort website. Eleanor Brown’s actions were described by the judge as “vindictive, selfish, and vengeful offending”. The incident stemmed from a grudge Brown held against the victim for over a decade, dating back to her father’s affair with the woman in 2012.

The court heard that Brown targeted the woman years later, after noticing that the woman’s husband had started a business. This triggered Brown to post offensive messages on social media and send explicit images of the victim to her husband. Brown even went as far as creating a fake profile on an escort website, featuring intimate photographs and using phrases like “kinky copper”.

During the trial at Leeds Crown Court, it was revealed that Brown had conspired with her mother and sister, who are both ex-police officers, to create the fake profile. The victim expressed feeling violated and sickened by the public dissemination of her private images for the gratification of strangers. She also voiced fear over Brown’s capabilities and described her shock at another woman’s actions towards her.

In court, Brown’s defence attorney highlighted her deep trauma from events in 2012, suggesting that she was influenced and encouraged by her family. Despite initially pleading not guilty, Brown eventually admitted to two counts of disclosing private images. However, she received no credit for her guilty pleas due to the timing of her confession during the trial.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the case was Brown’s threatening contact with the victim’s daughter, promising to ensure her mother would never forget the perceived wrongs. The judge condemned Brown’s behaviour as “shameful” and underscored the severity of her actions throughout the case.

The judge’s verdict portrayed Brown’s offence as not only a criminal act but also a deeply personal and vindictive vendetta that had lasting repercussions on the victim and her family.
