Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus is set to host the world’s largest Burns Night celebration in Dumfries. The event, part of the Big Burns Supper festival, will take place at the town’s Loreburn Hall on January 25 and will be broadcast globally. The evening promises five hours of entertainment, featuring acts such as Eddie Reader and her band, Grant Dinwiddie and Lucky Doves, Girobabies, and more.

Starting at 6pm, the celebration will include a two-course Burns Supper and a dram from sponsor Lochlea Distillery, all for the ticket price of £55.
