EasyJet passengers struck down by mystery illness on Egypt to Edinburgh flight

**Mystery Illness Affects Passengers on EasyJet Flight from Egypt to Edinburgh**

In a concerning incident that unfolded aboard an EasyJet flight from Hurghada, Egypt, to Edinburgh, passengers reported experiencing severe illness mid-flight. On November 3, flight EZY3320 encountered a troubling scenario that required immediate attention upon its arrival in Scotland.

Reports indicate that at least seven passengers fell ill during the journey, struggling with symptoms that included severe vomiting, nausea, and flu-like discomfort. Notably, one child on board developed an unexplained skin rash, raising further alarm among those present.

Upon landing safely at Edinburgh Airport at approximately 11:10 PM, ground crews and medical personnel had been alerted in advance of the flight’s arrival. Emergency services were prepared to assist as soon as the aircraft touched down, highlighting the seriousness of the matter.

An EasyJet spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating, “Flight EZY3320 from Hurghada to Edinburgh on 3 November was met by medical services on landing due to some unwell customers onboard. Our crew did all they could to assist during the flight. The wellbeing of our customers and crew is our highest priority.”

This distressing event is particularly concerning as it follows a similar occurrence just weeks earlier. On October 22, another EasyJet flight, U23116, travelling from Sharm el-Sheikh to Glasgow, reported at least eight passengers experiencing severe nausea and vomiting. That situation, while alarming, resulted in the aircraft landing safely without requiring medical assistance, although it was suggested that the illness may have stemmed from food contamination at a resort hotel prior to departure.

The recurrence of such health issues on EasyJet flights raises questions about the potential causes and underlying factors associated with the recent outbreaks. While the precise origin of the illnesses on this latest flight remains unclear, the airline’s commitment to passenger safety continues to be emphasised.

As authorities investigate the matter further, passengers and travellers alike are encouraged to remain vigilant regarding health and hygiene practices, especially when travelling in crowded spaces such as aircraft.

With the wellbeing of passengers at the forefront of EasyJet’s approach, it is a stark reminder of the importance of addressing health concerns promptly, ensuring that such incidents do not mar the travel experience.
