Tom Brady, the football legend, is set to auction off a range of luxury items, featuring his personal watch collection. Sotheby’s, the auction house, recently announced that the seven-time Super Bowl champion will be selling various memorabilia, including the jersey he wore in his final football game at the University of Michigan, as part of “The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady.”
A senior watch specialist at Sotheby’s praised Brady’s collection, highlighting his mastery in football and his passion for collecting exquisite timepieces. One of the standout items in the collection is a custom-made Audemars Piguet watch, where Brady’s name is depicted in diamonds instead of numbers. The watch also features the Roman numeral for seven, symbolizing his seven Super Bowl victories. This unique timepiece, worn during a roast special titled Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time: The Roast of Tom Brady, is expected to fetch between $400,000 and $800,000.
In addition to the Audemars Piguet watch, other watches up for auction include a Richard Mille 35-03 ‘Baby Nadal,’ a rose-gold Patek Philippe Nautilus, a platinum Rolex Day-Date with diamond embellishments, and a Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Edition ‘SFTI.’ Brady expressed his excitement about sharing these special pieces from his journey with fans and collectors, hoping they bring joy and inspiration just as they have for him.
Apart from watches, the auction will also feature Brady’s wristband and original play card from the 2017 Super Bowl, where he led the New England Patriots to a historic comeback victory. The collection extends to include the helmet worn during his tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, estimated to sell for $100,000 to $150,000. Brahm Wachter, head of modern collectibles at Sotheby’s, hailed these items as genuine pieces of sports history, narrating pivotal moments from Brady’s illustrious career.
Brady’s entire collection will be on display in an exhibit starting on December 5, culminating in a live auction on December 10. The auction promises sports enthusiasts and collectors a rare opportunity to own pieces that encapsulate the remarkable journey of one of the greatest players in NFL history.
