Brazen Thief Armed with Screwdriver Targets Bowling Arcade Machines
In a daring heist, a thief armed with a screwdriver targeted bowling arcade machines, stealing hundreds of pounds in the process. The brazen thief, identified as Damien Rigby, 38, was caught on CCTV footage as he broke into the machines at Superbowl UK in the Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington. The thefts occurred on three separate occasions during opening hours, with Rigby causing damage and stealing money just metres away from unsuspecting members of the public.
Rigby, a resident of Lancaster Road, Hindley, Wigan, pleaded guilty to four counts of theft and four counts of criminal damage when he appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court. As a result, he was sentenced to six months in jail. Additionally, Rigby has been ordered to repay nearly £5,500 as compensation for the stolen money and damages caused during his criminal activities.
