Two people have been taken to the hospital following a collision between a minibus and a car on a Scottish road. The incident occurred on the A944 in Aberdeenshire near the village of Alford. Police Scotland closed the road as they commenced an investigation into the crash that happened at approximately 3:10 pm. A post on the Police Scotland North East Facebook page stated, “Around 3.10 pm on Thursday, 3 October 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a minibus on the A944 at Alford.”
Emergency services are currently at the scene, and the A944 has been shut down in both directions between Alford and Whitehouse. Drivers are advised to avoid the area. The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed, “We received a call at 15:05 today to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A944, Alford. We dispatched two ambulances to the scene, and two patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.” The condition of the individuals involved has not been disclosed, and Police Scotland is yet to provide a comment.
