Former royal butler Nathan King, who used to serve King Charles at Dumfries House, has joined the cast of Big Brother in hopes of taking home the £100,000 prize. At only 24 years old, Nathan began his royal butler career at Dumfries House in Ayrshire when he was just 17. Over the years, he catered to high-profile guests like the President of Ireland, Alan Titchmarsh, and Queen Camilla. Now working as a pork salesman, Nathan is one of 16 contestants on the reality show this season.

During the live launch of Big Brother, Nathan shared that his royal background may surprise viewers. He described his character as strong and possibly divisive, acknowledging that he might come across as stuck-up or self-absorbed. Nathan, the sole Scottish participant this season, expressed his uniqueness by revealing his interest in Radio 2, traditional newspapers, and his conservative political views, including admiration for Nigel Farage.

Despite his strong opinions and assertive nature, Nathan aims to bring fun and enthusiasm to the house. He is looking forward to engaging in spirited debates and challenging conversations with his fellow housemates. Nathan applied for the show seeking new experiences and personal growth, emphasizing his readiness to enjoy the unique adventure that Big Brother offers.

Apart from his aspirations on the show, Nathan revealed a personal desire to use any prize money to enhance his appearance by getting new veneers for his teeth. His excitement for the show extends to the prospect of living in a communal setting, which presents a new and exciting challenge for him. Reflecting on potential conflicts, Nathan acknowledged that unintentionally offending someone might lead to his nomination for eviction.

Acknowledging the unpredictable nature of reality TV competitions, Nathan expressed his intention to be himself throughout the show and let the audience decide his fate. He remained open to the possibility of early elimination if viewers did not resonate with his personality. Looking ahead, Nathan is prepared to face the dynamics of communal living and hopes to engage with a variety of housemates, dreaming of a star like George Michael as an ideal housemate.

As Nathan embarks on his journey in the Big Brother house, viewers can anticipate a mix of candid opinions, lively discussions, and potentially entertaining clashes. Whether he secures the top prize or not, Nathan’s presence promises to add a unique dimension to the reality show’s dynamic interactions and challenges.
