Police make an arrest in connection with the death of Cambuslang man in Uddingston

Police have made an arrest in connection with the tragic death of Cambuslang man, David Graham, in Uddingston. The 38-year-old father was allegedly attacked while walking alone in the General’s Gate area on October 6. Despite efforts to help him, David passed away upon arrival at the hospital. Authorities have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the incident, with investigations ongoing.

Since the incident, a significant police presence has been observed in Uddingston, with forensic officers conducting examinations and detectives engaging with the local community for information, including reviewing CCTV footage. David’s friends and family have shared touching tributes, expressing their shock and sadness over the loss. The community remembers him as a caring and beloved individual.

Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie of Major Investigation Teams West extended condolences to David Graham’s loved ones and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward. Motorists and residents with security cameras in the vicinity were also asked to review their footage for potential leads. A request was made for individuals to check a silver car seen near the scene that later drove off.

In an effort to gather additional information, a website has been created where the public can submit details directly to the Major Investigation Team, with the option to do so anonymously. Authorities continue to seek cooperation from the community and encourage those with any pertinent details to assist in the investigation.
