The Les Hoey DreamMaker Foundation, a charity based in Wishaw, has exceeded the £60,000 milestone with the success of its annual charity ball. Held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, the event proved to be a huge hit and raised a remarkable total of £62,205, all of which will go towards supporting children with life-limiting illnesses.
The charity ball, which marked the foundation’s 10th annual event, featured an evening of entertainment headlined by singer-songwriter Callum Beattie. Supporting acts included Stonehouse singer Amy Louise and the band Till Death Do Us Party. The attendees enjoyed a night filled with music, dancing, and fundraising activities such as auctions, raffles, and mystery bags.
Angela Cook, the DreamMaker co-ordinator, expressed her delight at the success of the event, stating, “It was an amazing night. When Les, myself and Laura Cochrane went on stage and announced the total at the end of the night we all got very emotional.” She commended the performers for their contributions to the event, highlighting Callum Beattie’s engaging performance and the special significance of Amy Louise, a former beneficiary of the foundation’s support.
