TikTok Star Taylor Rousseau Grigg’s Cause of Death Revealed by Her Family
The family of TikTok sensation Taylor Rousseau Grigg has disclosed the cause of her untimely death. In a statement provided to Today on October 11, Grigg’s family shared that the 25-year-old faced complications stemming from asthma and Addison’s disease before her passing. This revelation emerged days after Grigg’s spouse, Cameron Grigg, initially confirmed on Instagram that her demise was “sudden and unexpected.”
Addison’s disease, as outlined by the Mayo Clinic, is a rare condition where the body fails to produce adequate essential hormones. While symptoms typically manifest gradually, stressors such as illness or injury can exacerbate its impact. Common signs of Addison’s disease include extreme fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea, darkened skin, low blood pressure, abdominal discomfort, and hair loss.
Furthermore, some individuals may experience sudden symptoms of Addison’s disease, known as Acute adrenal failure, which consists of severe weakness, confusion, lower back or leg pain, acute abdominal pain, and low blood pressure. Grigg also dealt with asthma, a respiratory condition characterised by narrowed airways and swelling, potentially leading to life-threatening asthma attacks for severe cases.
Although Cameron initially withheld details about his wife’s health condition when announcing her passing, he emphasised Grigg’s resilience and positive spirit throughout her battles. He expressed that despite enduring significant pain and challenges in the past year, Grigg continued to radiate joy to those around her. Cameron revealed that Grigg’s body was situated in the hospital to facilitate organ donation, a final act to save lives even after her departure from this world.
Grigg’s health struggles were occasionally shared on social media, where she candidly spoke about her fight for survival. In a TikTok post on August 8, she acknowledged instances of intense pain and the hardships of her condition. With a strong following of 1.5 million on TikTok, Grigg’s passing occurred shortly after her 25th birthday celebration, as highlighted in a video from September 9.
In honour of Grigg’s memory and to support her family with financial challenges, a GoFundMe page has been established for donations towards arranging a benefit event in her honour. The GoFundMe page aims to cover the expenses related to celebrating Grigg’s life, ensuring her legacy lives on.
