**Ex-Husband of Real Housewives Star Gets Jail Term for Plotting Attack on Her Boyfriend**
Thomas Manzo, the former husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” personality Dina Manzo, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for orchestrating an assault on her boyfriend. The attack was carried out by a reputed mobster in exchange for hosting a luxurious wedding reception for the assailant.
The 59-year-old from Franklin Lakes will also undergo three years of supervised release following his prison term as ordered by U.S. District Judge Susan Wigenton. In June, a federal jury found him guilty of conspiracy, falsifying and concealing documents, and committing a violent crime to aid racketeering activities.
Prosecutors revealed that Manzo enlisted John Perna, identified as a member of the Lucchese Crime Family, to carry out the assault in July 2015. The boyfriend was reportedly beaten with a weapon during the attack. Perna’s wedding reception took place the next month at a Paterson restaurant co-owned by Thomas Manzo.
John Perna pleaded guilty in December 2020 for committing a violent crime connected to racketeering and received a 2.5-year sentence. He was released in August 2023 and has since tied the knot with Dina Manzo.
