A Hamilton-based company, Procast, has achieved success by winning the project management company of the year award at the national energy efficiency awards. The firm, which is currently working on a new development in the town, was the only Scottish recipient at the UK-wide event. Procast’s work in retrofitting “hard-to-treat properties” was recognised for its excellence.

Procast is collaborating with the West of Scotland housing association to construct a development of 12 flats at the former Low Waters bowling green, adjacent to its Alness Street headquarters. The company’s efforts in carrying out full retrofit projects across Scotland and the north of England, with a total value of £40 million last year, earned them this prestigious award. Last year, Procast also won the insulation and fabric installer category at the Scottish final.

The award ceremony took place in Birmingham and was hosted by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith, with comedian and actor Jason Manford presenting Procast with their well-deserved accolade. The company’s managing director, Derek Innes, expressed pride in their work, highlighting the energy-efficient and future-ready features of the new homes at Mitchell Court, such as solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The development will include a communal garden and contribute to the housing association’s affordable housing stock in Hamilton. Procast’s commitment to creating energy-efficient and comfortable homes aligns with their vision of meeting the needs of residents both now and in the future. The company’s dedication to sustainability and community well-being has been instrumental in their success.

The Energy Efficiency Awards director, Gary Braybrooke, commended the achievements of individuals and organisations in the industry, emphasizing the positive impact they have on people’s lives across the country. The recognition of Procast’s work reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in the field of energy efficiency.

In summary, Procast, a Hamilton firm, has been honoured at the national energy efficiency awards for their outstanding project management work in retrofitting properties. Their success in delivering energy-efficient homes that cater to current and future needs has set them apart as a leader in the industry. The award highlights Procast’s dedication to sustainable construction and community development, making them a deserving recipient of this prestigious accolade.
