Nicole Kidman admits she was left shouting ‘don’t touch me’ during racy new film

Nicole Kidman has opened up about her experience filming her latest movie, “Babygirl,” where she plays a high-powered married businesswoman engaging in a steamy affair with a young intern. The movie also stars Antonio Banderas as Kidman’s on-screen husband. Kidman admitted that the intense and intimate scenes in the film became overwhelming at times, leading her to shout, “Don’t touch me!” and express frustrations like not wanting to experience certain sensations anymore.

In an interview with The Sun, Kidman shared her candid reactions to filming the provocative scenes, saying she reached a point of not wanting to be touched and feeling fed up with the process. The film, set to be released on Christmas day in the US, follows the story of CEO Romy (Kidman) as she risks her career for a passionate relationship with her intern Samuel (played by Harris Dickinson). Director Halina Reijn drew inspiration from erotic thrillers like “Basic Instinct” and real-life stories about women’s experiences with pleasure.

Kidman highlighted her interest in pushing boundaries in her acting career and exploring new territories through her roles. She reflected on her previous daring roles, such as in “Eyes Wide Shut” alongside Tom Cruise, directed by Stanley Kubrick. Despite the explicit content and impact of the film, Kidman revealed that she has never watched it all the way through, even as it approaches its 25th anniversary.

The actress’s portrayal in “Babygirl” showcases her commitment to challenging roles and delving into complex characters. As an artist constantly seeking new experiences, Kidman’s portrayal in this film exemplifies her dedication to her craft and willingness to explore different aspects of human emotion and relationships on screen.
