Evil killer stashed partner’s body in cellar before dumping remains eerie images show

**Trevor Dunkley Sentenced for Gruesome Murder of Partner After 28 Years of Concealment**

In a harrowing case that has sent shockwaves through the community, Trevor Dunkley, 66, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 6 to a minimum of 10 years and 10 months for the murder of his partner, Patricia Lashley. The tragedy dates back to September 1998 when Dunkley, then 38, brutally assaulted the 33-year-old mother of seven in their Dudley home.

Dunkley’s heinous act came to light nearly three decades later, as he confessed to the murder, revealing the disturbing details of how he concealed Lashley’s body in the cellar of their shared property on Hall Street. After committing the crime, he hidden her remains under bedding, subsequently moving her to the cellar, where he disposed of her body over the following weeks in household waste bins.

Authorities have since released eerie images from the cellar, showcasing the grim reality of Dunkley’s actions. During an excavation in August 2026, police uncovered substantial evidence of the crime despite multiple renovations carried out in the property since Dunkley’s departure. Images captured by investigators disclose the extensive efforts undertaken to locate Lashley’s remains, resulting in enormous bags of rubble being unearthed from the site.

In the years following Patrick’s disappearance, Dunkley told investigators a fabricated tale, claiming that Lashley had abandoned her children and had left him. He stated he had returned home to discover her unresponsive on the bed, asserting that she had been abusive towards him. However, this narrative has not garnered any corroborative evidence from police.

Dunkley’s confession was prompted by his belief that law enforcement was closing in on him. During his police transport, he lamented, “My life is finished now… I’m getting locked up for life,” acknowledging the gravity of his actions. Following a guilty plea to murder and preventing a lawful and decent burial on September 11, he was handed a life sentence.

The case serves as a poignant reminder of the harrowing realities of domestic violence and the seismic changes it can wreak on both victims and communities. As the investigation closes, it fosters discussions on the critical need for awareness and preventative measures against such heartbreakingly tragic circumstances.
