Pupils at Alexander Peden Primary in Harthill recently organised a charity coffee morning with a country and western theme, raising over £2000 for Macmillan. The event was led by acting headteacher Stephen Whiteside and primary seven teacher Haven Bain. Parents and grandparents joined in, enjoying a cuppa and sampling the delicious cakes on offer.
Each year, the coffee morning at the school is themed, and this year, the pupils chose a country and western concept. The students entertained attendees with songs, with the primary seven class taking charge of the show and raffle. In total, the morning raised an impressive £2300 for Macmillan, a great achievement for all involved.
The pupils at Alexander Peden Primary embraced the opportunity to give back to the community and support a worthy cause. Events like these not only raise money for charity but also bring the school community together in a fun and meaningful way. Congratulations to all the pupils, teachers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the charity coffee morning.
