A 37-year-old mother-of-four, Kirsten Mclean, tragically passed away just nine days after contacting NHS 24 about a persistent cough. Initially diagnosed with pneumonia, further scans at Wishaw General Hospital revealed that Kirsten was also battling breast cancer. The treatment for her lung infection proved ineffective, leading doctors to induce a coma with a slim chance of recovery. Within 48 hours, all her vital organs failed, leading to her untimely death.
Kirsten’s sister, Sarah, expressed deep shock over the rapid deterioration of her sister’s health, leaving behind her four young daughters: Cara (15), Stephanie (13), Lacey (11), and Charlotte (11 months). The family is devastated by Kirsten’s sudden decline, with Sarah emphasizing the heartbreaking loss, especially as Kirsten never got the opportunity to see her youngest daughter turn one.

Tragically, her organs began to fail, leading to the difficult decision to switch off life support. Kirsten passed away surrounded by her family, leaving a void in their lives.
