Nicholas Alexander Chavez, known for his roles as Lyle Menendez and a priest on TV, is eagerly looking forward to his next acting challenge.

Chavez, 25, recently made his debut in two prime-time shows that premiered within a week of each other. In “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” on Netflix, he portrays Lyle Menendez, while in FX’s “Grotesquerie,” he takes on the role of Father Charlie, a priest with a fascination for true crime. Both series are co-created by Ryan Murphy, who personally invited Chavez to join the cast of “Grotesquerie” while they were still working on “Monsters.”

In “Grotesquerie,” Chavez’s character, Father Charlie, engages with his role by listening to specific music, including “Don’t Do Anything Illegal” by Charles Manson. For “Monsters,” where he plays a real-life character, Lyle Menendez, Chavez prepared by studying old court videos to capture the essence of the role accurately.

The Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik (portrayed by Cooper Koch), were convicted in 1996 for the murder of their parents in 1989, alleging years of sexual abuse as their motivation. Recently, new information has prompted prosecutors in LA to review the case for possible resentencing.

Prior to his current roles, Chavez gained recognition for his portrayal of Spencer Cassadine on ABC’s “General Hospital,” winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2022. Despite his success in daytime television, Chavez expresses his eagerness to return to work, emphasising his passion for acting and the joy it brings him.

Looking ahead, Chavez is excited about his future projects and the opportunities that lie ahead, stating, “My life feels whole and complete between the words action and cut. I think that is the purpose of my entire existence. Nothing brings me more satisfaction and joy as a human being than the craft of acting. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

With his dedication and talent, Nicholas Alexander Chavez continues to make waves in the television industry, captivating audiences with his versatile performances and unwavering passion for his craft.
