Graham Norton names celebrity who ‘wasn’t a great guest’ on chat show

Graham Norton has recently shared details about a past guest on his chat show who he believed didn’t quite hit the mark during their appearance. As the host of The Graham Norton Show since 2007, Norton has welcomed numerous A-list stars on his show, following in the footsteps of Jonathan Ross. During his tenure, Norton has often kept mum about his least favourite guest, but he previously referred to Harvey Weinstein as the “worst” interviewee he’s encountered.

In a recent interview with News.com.au, Norton finally revealed that it was actor Daryl Hannah who he felt was not a great guest on his show. Despite initial reservations about her being averse to chat shows, Norton discovered that Hannah’s subpar performance was more a result of nerves rather than any diva-like behaviour. Despite the less than stellar interview, Norton commended Hannah for overcoming her anxiety and expressed joy that she felt a sense of accomplishment afterwards.

Norton also reflected on other challenging guests, such as Mickey Rourke, who he described as “hard work” due to the actor arriving at the studio with half a bottle of Jack Daniels. Norton shared that navigating such situations can be tough but necessary to keep the show running smoothly. Additionally, Norton mentioned a moment when Madonna was perceived as “a bit rude” to fans who presented her with dolls of herself during an appearance on the show.

Currently, Norton is gearing up for his first live tour in Australia scheduled for March, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career. Fans of the ever-charming and quick-witted host can anticipate more memorable moments and entertaining interviews as Norton continues to entertain audiences worldwide.
