Kanye West and Bianca Censori: Everything we know about their rumoured divorce
Kanye West and Bianca Censori are reportedly heading for divorce, as per a recent report by TMZ. The news outlet announced on October 7 that the renowned artist and his wife, who have been married for nearly two years, are allegedly parting ways. Sources close to the couple have disclosed that both West and Censori have informed people around them of their split a few weeks ago.
Despite the reports, on October 8, images obtained by Page Six depicted the couple shopping at a mall in Tokyo, Japan. The pictures captured moments of the Yeezy designer and the Australian architect riding the escalator and shopping together with their hands intertwined. Notably, a close-up image showed Censori tenderly holding West’s face in her hands.
Amidst the divorce speculations, TMZ claimed that West had been contemplating moving to Tokyo and ending his marriage with Bianca. The outlet noted the rapper dining at a Jamaican restaurant and attending a wrestling match in September without his partner by his side. Although the 29-year-old model was not seen with the 47-year-old father of four, who recently changed his name to “Ye,” while in Tokyo, she is currently accompanying him during their time in Japan.
Both West and Censori have chosen to remain silent regarding the divorce rumours. The Independent has reached out to their representatives for comment. The couple first crossed paths in 2020 when Censori was working as an architectural designer at Yeezy. During this period, West was still married to Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children—North (11), Saint (8), Chicago (6), and Psalm (5). After Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021 and was granted legal single status, their divorce was finalised in November 2022.
Shortly after his divorce from Kardashian, West married Censori in a private ceremony in December 2022. Coinciding with their nuptials, West released his track “Censori Overload.” Although initial reports cast doubt on the legality of their marriage, by October 2023, Daily Mail confirmed their marriage through the acquisition of a marriage license. The couple went public with their relationship in January 2023, making their first public appearance at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, California, holding hands over lunch.
Known for their unique fashion choices, West and Censori stunned the audience during last season’s Paris Fashion Week when they appeared together at Marni’s fall/winter 2024 presentation. West sported a black nylon windbreaker and leather pants, while Censori flaunted a structured, open latex bodysuit paired with pink, below-the-knee boots.
