The recent attack specifically aimed at an arsenal in Russia’s Bryansk border region, where missiles and artillery munitions, including some allegedly from North Korea, were stored. The location, situated 115 kilometers (70 miles) from the Ukrainian border, housed powerful glide bombs that have been used to target civilian areas and Ukrainian army defenses. According to a statement from the Ukrainian General Staff, hitting such arsenals poses significant logistical challenges for the Russian army and diminishes its offensive capabilities.
As the conflict between Ukraine and Russia approaches its 1,000th day, Russia has been heavily using artillery shells to advance its position in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
