A cinema in Scotland is reportedly being haunted by a ghost that throws objects at patrons and interacts with staff members, creating a spooky atmosphere for all involved. The Moray Playhouse in Elgin has become known as Britain’s most haunted cinema, with employees sharing chilling experiences of paranormal activities. Workers claim to have witnessed a shadowy figure walking through walls, objects moving on their own, and mysterious voices whispering in the darkness.
According to reports, the cinema, built in 1932, has been a site of numerous ghostly encounters over the years. General manager Steven Bieszke and his team have allegedly experienced unexplainable events, including items being moved without explanation and ghostly figures appearing out of nowhere. Steven recounted a particularly eerie incident when cup lids flew off the counter and landed in front of a microwave, despite no one being in the vicinity at the time. Although such events have been captured on CCTV, the mysterious occurrences continue to puzzle and intrigue the staff.
One of the most unsettling incidents involved a shadowy figure passing through a closed door right in front of Steven while he was locking up for the night. The ghostly apparition reportedly moved through the door as if it was not there, leaving Steven startled and shaken. Other staff members have also shared similar experiences, further adding to the eerie reputation of the cinema. Construction workers involved in building renovations have reported hearing strange noises, particularly during significant changes to the premises.
Despite the spine-chilling encounters, Steven emphasised that he has never felt threatened by the ghostly presence. Instead, he described the experiences as feeling like a part of a unique family dynamic with the spirits haunting the cinema. While the paranormal activities may send shivers down the spine of those involved, they have not caused any harm or disruption to the operations of the Moray Playhouse.
As the stories of ghostly encounters continue to circulate among staff members and visitors, the haunted reputation of the cinema only grows. With each new unexplained event, the mystery surrounding the supernatural presence at the Moray Playhouse in Elgin deepens. The eerie tales of ghostly sightings and paranormal activities have cemented the cinema’s status as a haunted hotspot, keeping both employees and patrons on edge with every creak and whisper heard within its walls.
