Joe Root and Harry Brook have made history by smashing the highest partnership in England’s Test history during the first Test match in Pakistan, breaking a record that had stood for 67 years. The Yorkshire duo achieved this remarkable feat on a lifeless pitch in Pakistan, showcasing their relentless batting skills.
During the fourth day of the Test match, Root and Brook posted a stand of 454 runs before being separated. This partnership surpassed the previous record set by Peter May and Colin Cowdrey, which stood at 411 runs and was established back in 1957 at Edgbaston.
