A father has been convicted of domestic abuse and has been instructed to keep away from his ex-partner for a period of two years. Jordan Robertson, aged 29, has also been placed under social work supervision for a year and is required to attend a program for offenders. The verdict was reached at Hamilton Sheriff Court, where Robertson confessed to engaging in a series of abusive actions towards the woman at a residence in Luing, Airdrie, last year.
Robertson, who resides on Chapel Street, Cleland, also admitted to breaching bail conditions by contacting the woman subsequent to his arrest and release. Despite having no prior criminal record and being employed, he has been mandated by Sheriff John Hamilton to complete 180 hours of unpaid work as part of a community payback order.
Additionally, Robertson has been placed under social work surveillance for a year and must participate in an offender program. The court took these measures following his admission of abusive conduct towards his ex-partner.
