A 67-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision involving a white Volvo HGV with a trailer and a blue Kia Niro car on the M74 near Abington. The incident occurred close to junction 13 at around 3:50 pm on Friday, October 4. The driver of the car was rushed to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment of his serious injuries, while no other injuries were reported.
Police are now seeking dashcam footage from any witnesses of the crash. Sergeant Gemma Blackadder stated that enquiries are ongoing and urged anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Drivers who were in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage are also requested to contact the authorities.
