Florida Airports and Disney World Set to Reopen Following Hurricane Milton Damage
Airports and theme parks in Florida, which were impacted by Hurricane Milton, are beginning to reopen as the storm moves eastward away from the state and out into the Atlantic Ocean. The destructive hurricane has left at least 16 people dead, causing extensive damage and flooding across the region. As Hurricane Milton battered Florida, cities like Tampa and Orlando were significantly affected, prompting the closure of airports and the suspension of flights. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is also set to remain closed for an additional 24 hours as a precautionary measure.
Holidaymakers in Florida, particularly those in areas severely impacted by the hurricane, have been advised to exercise caution when driving, given the potential hazards such as flooded roads and debris. The National Hurricane Center has warned individuals to only travel if necessary and to watch out for dangerous conditions on the roads.
