Jamie Dornan, the well-known actor from Northern Ireland, has announced his plans to take a break following the conclusion of filming for the highly-anticipated series ‘The Undertow’. The crime noir show, slated to be released on Netflix, sees Dornan playing the challenging roles of identical twins Adam and Lee, with Mackenzie Davis from ‘Station Eleven’ portraying Adam’s wife Nicola. Adapted from the Nordisk Film Production AS series ‘Twin’, ‘The Undertow’ is set to premiere in 2025.
Having recently wrapped up what he describes as “the longest job of my career,” Dornan, aged 42, expressed his readiness for a much-needed rest. Additionally, the versatile actor has taken on a new role as the latest ambassador for Diet Coke, leading their ‘This Is My Taste’ campaign. Dornan, who has previously modelled for luxury brands like Calvin Klein and Dior, finds resonance in celebrating individualism, stating, “We are all our own people and it’s fun to lean into what makes you, you.”
Known for his diverse roles, Dornan has gained recognition for his performances in series such as ‘The Fall’ and ‘The Tourist’, as well as the ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ trilogy on the big screen alongside Dakota Johnson. His portrayal in Sir Kenneth Branagh’s acclaimed film ‘Belfast’ earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Discussing his personal style evolution, Dornan revealed a shift towards a more classic and comfortable wardrobe, particularly as he balances an active lifestyle and fatherhood to three daughters.
