Topi Keskinen: The Finland star who sports a tattoo of Wayne Rooney fishing

A Finnish football star, Topi Keskinen, has captured attention with his unique tattoo featuring Wayne Rooney fishing. The 21-year-old winger, currently playing for Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen, proudly displays a self-designed tattoo on his forearm depicting the former England captain holding a fishing rod.

Expressing his admiration for Rooney, Keskinen shared his inspiration behind the tattoo by revealing, “He was like an idol to me. I was watching his highlights in every game that he played in his career, so he’s my favourite player in my life. So, I tattooed him with fishing because I like fishing also. It’s my two favourite things combined in one tattoo.”

Having made a move to Aberdeen from HJK Helsinki in the summer, Keskinen has been a key player in the team’s impressive seven-match winning streak at the beginning of the season. Eager to face England in the Nations League match in Helsinki, Keskinen believes his team can capitalize on England’s defensive vulnerabilities exposed in their recent 2-1 defeat to Greece.

Confident in his team’s ability to create and convert scoring opportunities, Keskinen remarked, “We’re going to get some chances in the game. We just have to make some right decisions and be lethal… We can hurt them and we have the home support. I think it’s going to be a little different game than the first one.”

Looking ahead to the game, Keskinen stressed the importance of belief and efficiency in front of goal, stating, “When we get the chance, we have to do well… We have to believe in ourselves.”

As the young football sensation continues to make waves on the pitch with his skills, his tattoo tribute to Rooney serves as a symbolic representation of his admiration for the football icon and his love for fishing, creating a unique and personal connection between two of his passions.
