Police in Motherwell made a significant discovery when they stopped a vehicle, uncovering cannabis and over £8000 in cash. Garry Park, a 61-year-old resident of Rannoch Drive, Pather, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and confessed to being involved in the supply of cannabis back on December 15 last year. According to reports from the court, officers had a basis to halt the car around 8 pm, leading to the detection of a cannabis odour. Subsequently, Park was apprehended for a search.
During the search, law enforcement found two vacuum bags in the passenger seat footwell, containing cannabis valued at £6500. Additionally, two mobile phones and £8450 in cash were seized by the officers. Park’s sentence has been postponed until November to allow for background assessments and an electronic tagging evaluation.
