A former police officer, Roderick Macleod, has been revealed to have engaged in disturbing activities involving a child and extreme pornographic images. Macleod, who had served as a police officer for seven years, was found to have forced a child to pretend she was a dog in a sick sex game, making her wear a collar and leash. Additionally, he had taken extreme pictures of a woman with a dog at his residence in Edinburgh.
The shocking details of Macleod’s actions came to light when officers discovered the incriminating images on his phone following his arrest in November 2023 for an unrelated matter. During a hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Macleod admitted to compelling the child to act like a dog and to possessing extreme pornographic images. As a result, he was remanded in custody pending sentencing and was placed on the sex offenders register.
Police Scotland clarified that Macleod was no longer a serving officer at the time of the offences. The case has drawn widespread condemnation and sparked concerns about the protection and welfare of vulnerable individuals. The court proceedings serve as a stark reminder of the critical importance of safeguarding the most vulnerable members of society from exploitation and abuse.
