Brit billionaire ‘bankrupted by drug cartel’ forced to sell mansion and supercars

Brit Billionaire Bankrupted by Drug Cartel, Forced to Sell Mansion and Supercars

A British billionaire, Bob Bull, has been compelled to part ways with his luxurious assets after finding himself in millions of pounds of debt, attributing his financial downfall to a drug cartel. Once valued at nearly £2 billion and ranked 88th on the UK rich list, Bull made his fortune by transforming static caravans into bungalow villages through his Royal Life business. However, following a bankruptcy in 2016, where he couldn’t even afford a KFC meal, he managed to rebuild his wealth only to face another financial crisis.

Reportedly £725 million in debt, Bull has had to relinquish his elaborate home near Southampton and numerous supercars, which have now been repossessed. The Manchester native claims his dire situation is a result of targeted actions by the infamous Kinahan Cartel, with alleged connections to South American cartels. Bull expressed his belief that had the judge overseeing his bankruptcy known he was a victim of criminal activities, his bankruptcy might have been voided.

The entrepreneur’s troubles began when he attempted to refinance his business valued around £4 billion, a deal that fell through when the lender withdrew their support last minute. Desperate, he borrowed £3 million from an individual associated with organized crime, purportedly linked to The Kinahan Organised Crime Group. What was supposed to be a short-term loan spiralled out of control, leaving Bull owing £42 million, accompanied by intimidation and threats from the gang.

Forced to place his multi-million-pound mansion on the market for £6 million, the property boasts luxurious features such as a bowling alley. The mansion, located in Curdridge, Hampshire, spans over 9.12 acres and includes amenities like a garage for six cars, a pool with a steam room, gym, games room, and a cinema room. Court papers revealed Bull’s attempt to reach a debt repayment agreement at a meagre interest rate of 0.25% to settle his financial obligations.

Overall, Bob Bull’s once opulent lifestyle has been dramatically altered as he grapples with the aftermath of his interaction with the drug cartel. His tale serves as a cautionary reminder of the far-reaching implications of entanglements with criminal organisations for even the most affluent individuals.
