A teenage boy has been rushed to the hospital with a serious head injury after a reported murder attempt by a gang wielding a bladed weapon. The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on October 13 when the 14-year-old was walking on Lodge Lane in Toxteth, near the junction with Coltart Street, and was viciously attacked. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where the teenager was found with a significant head injury believed to be caused by a bladed weapon. Presently, he is in a serious but stable condition as he receives medical care.
Following the attack, two individuals have been arrested in connection with the crime. A cordon has been established at the crime scene as forensic teams conduct investigations. Detective Inspector Chris Carlin stated that CCTV and forensic inquiries are ongoing in the area to gather more information. He urged anyone who witnessed the assault or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the vicinity at the time of the incident to come forward and assist the investigation.
