Kirkmahoe SWI Ladies Enjoy Keep Fit Session at Latest Meeting

The Kirkmahoe SWI ladies recently gathered for their October meeting, which had a unique twist – a keep fit session. Led by Andrea Haggerty, the session was tailored to suit the ladies’ abilities, with an option for seated exercises for those who preferred. Laughter filled the room as the women worked out to the music, with everyone feeling pleased about their accomplishments by the end of the night.

During the meeting, the results of various competitions were announced. Enid Graham took the top spot in the sports photos mounted on card category, followed by Doreen Martin and Debbie Logue. In the T-shirt competition, Shirley Currie claimed the first position, with Jacquie Mathieson and Jennifer Johnstone following suit. Debbie Logue was also honoured with the Gemmell Candlesticks for having the most competition entries outside of last year’s prizewinners.

Looking ahead, the next meeting in November promises to be extra special as it will mark the 100th anniversary celebration dinner for Kirkmahoe SWI. The highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the Kirkmahoe Collage, adding to the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming gathering.
