Kate Moss, 50, makes Victoria’s Secret catwalk debut at star-studded show

Kate Moss, a renowned British supermodel, surprised fans as she made her debut on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk at the age of 50. The iconic lingerie brand returned with its first runway show in six years, featuring performances by music legend Cher. Moss, known for her influential work with top designers such as Gucci and Calvin Klein, strutted down the runway adorned in a black lace dress and the trademark Victoria’s Secret wings designed in black tulle.

In a candid interview with Vogue, Moss admitted that she was never considered an “underwear girl” and had not previously walked for Victoria’s Secret. The atmosphere was further electrified as Moss’s 22-year-old daughter, Lila Moss, also marked her runway debut wearing a pale pink fringed jacket paired with lingerie. Despite her vast experience in the fashion industry, Moss confessed to feeling nervous about the show, citing the scale and preparation involved compared to her earlier runway days.

Backstage, Moss found solace in the company of close friends, including supermodel Carla Bruni who also made her Victoria’s Secret debut at the show. The event was a star-studded affair with appearances from industry favourites like Tyra Banks, Bella Hadid, and Adriana Lima. Banks, in particular, received praise for her walk, lauded as “iconic” by fans. Bella Hadid’s return to the runway in a striking red lingerie set and matching gown generated a buzz on social media with fans commending her performance.

The show proved to be a memorable event, blending the nostalgia of veteran models with the fresh energy of newcomers. As the fashion world eagerly anticipates the next chapter for Victoria’s Secret, the inclusion of Kate Moss and her daughter Lila in the show underscored the brand’s commitment to diversity and timeless elegance.
