A special event, Ball in a Hall, is set to take place in Airdrie next month to raise funds for seven charities. The event will be hosted at St Margaret’s Church hall on Hallcraig Street on November 22 from 7pm to midnight. The charities that will benefit from the fundraiser are Chest, Heart and Stroke, the Beatson, St Andrew’s Hospice, the Moira Anderson Foundation, Fragile X Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, and Chris’s House.
Audrey Paterson, one of the organisers of Ball in a Hall, mentioned that each participant can nominate their chosen charity from the list, and 50% of the proceeds from the event will go to that charity. The remaining six charities will receive a proportionate share of the funds raised. Attendees are encouraged to bring any unwanted raffle prizes they may have received to contribute to the fundraising efforts.
Live music by Eriskay Lilt will entertain guests, with dinner being served at 7.30pm. Tickets for the event are priced at £30, which includes a raffle ticket, and can be purchased by contacting Audrey on 07973 450105 or through her Facebook page.
This initiative aims to support a variety of important causes and bring the community together for a night of music, food, and fundraising. The Ball in a Hall event presents a wonderful opportunity for people to make a difference in the lives of those who benefit from the work of these seven charities.
