Kirkmahoe SWI members had an enjoyable keep-fit session during their October meeting. Andrea Haggerty reassured the ladies that the activities would be tailored to suit their abilities, offering the option to do exercises while seated. Amid laughter and groans, everyone participated enthusiastically, even singing along to the music. The atmosphere was lively, and all attendees felt a sense of accomplishment at the end of the session.
The meeting also included the announcement of competition results. Enid Graham secured first place for sports photos mounted on a card, followed by Doreen Martin in second place and Debbie Logue in third. In the T-shirt category, Shirley Currie claimed the top spot, with Jacquie Mathieson and Jennifer Johnstone taking second and third place, respectively. Debbie Logue was recognised for her outstanding participation and was presented with the Gemmell Candlesticks.
Looking ahead, the November meeting will mark a significant milestone as the Kirkmahoe SWI celebrates its 100th anniversary with a dinner event. The occasion will also feature the unveiling of the Kirkmahoe Collage, adding to the anticipation and excitement within the group.
