Strictly star announces split from wife after nine years of marriage

Ore Oduba, who shot to fame after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, has revealed that he and his wife Portia are parting ways after nine years of marriage. The 38-year-old TV presenter and actor shared the heartbreaking news in a social media post on Thursday, expressing the challenges they have faced.

In his online statement, Oduba wrote, “Hi guys. Portia and I are sad to announce that we separated earlier this year. We’re so grateful for all the love you’ve shared with us both over the years.” He also thanked their supporters for respecting their privacy during this difficult time and mentioned that there would be no further comments from them.

The couple tied the knot in 2015, five years after meeting at Loughborough University in 2010. They have two children together – Roman, born in 2018, and Genie, born three years later. Despite the separation, they emphasised the importance of kindness and privacy as they navigate this new chapter in their lives.
