Despite the efforts of emergency services, Johnny, aged 22, tragically passed away at the scene. His passenger, also 22, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, while the 63-year-old driver of the Mercedes was assessed at University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock.

Additionally, a separate incident in Glasgow left a four-year-old girl critically injured after being struck outside Blackfriars Primary School.
