However, what was supposed to be a joyous time turned into a nightmare when an argument outside Douglas’ Palace Hotel resulted in Jill being fatally struck by her partner, John Meadows, at around 9:20 pm.
Following the tragic event on Friday, March 29, 2024, Jill passed away in the hospital shortly after the altercation. John Meadows was later sentenced to five years and eight months in prison for manslaughter at Douglas Courthouse on Friday, October 11.
