Trump outsourced door-knocking campaigns in two key states to Musk-backed PAC. Up to 25 percent may have never happened

Donald Trump has reportedly outsourced door-knocking campaigns in two crucial states to a PAC backed by Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur. Shockingly, a significant portion of these campaigns may not have actually taken place.

Recent data shows that as much as 24% of door-knocks in Arizona and 25% in Nevada conducted by the America PAC, supported by Elon Musk, have raised red flags due to “unusual survey logs” on the Campaign Sidekick canvassing app. This has led to concerns about the authenticity of these door-knocking efforts.

In Arizona, Trump is only leading Vice President Harris by a slim 2-point margin, while in Nevada, Harris is ahead by just one point according to the latest Emerson College poll. The potential for fraudulent door-knocking numbers could have serious implications for the integrity of the campaign, particularly as these efforts were mostly outsourced to PACs for the first time this year with the approval of the Federal Election Commission.

The America PAC founded by Elon Musk offers incentives of $30 per hour to employees engaged in voter registration and turnout initiatives, and $47 for registered voter referrals who pledge support for the First and Second Amendments. Musk, a vocal supporter of Trump, has reportedly poured over $60 million into the 2024 election cycle through this PAC, with a colossal contribution of $75 million from July to September alone.

Musk’s overt support for Trump was further evident when he attended one of Trump’s rallies in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump hailed him as a champion of free speech and innovation. Trump has even hinted at involving Musk in government task forces to drive cost-saving measures.

The Independent has reached out to both Trump’s campaign team and the America PAC for their responses to these concerning revelations. This development has raised questions about the transparency and legitimacy of campaign efforts in the lead-up to the elections.

This potentially worrying situation highlights the intricate web of political and financial interests that often underpin election campaigns, shedding light on the need for greater scrutiny and accountability in the electoral process.
