Urgent manhunt for teenager after woman raped in children’s playground

Police in Kent have launched an urgent manhunt after a woman was raped in a children’s playground. The incident occurred at Toddler’s Cove playground in Canterbury at around 9.30pm on Friday, according to Kent Police. The woman was initially approached by four unknown men, with one of them assaulting her after the others had left the scene.

The suspect is described as a white Eastern European male, around 18 or 19-years-old, with tight black curly hair covering his ears. He was wearing a white tracksuit top and white bottoms, and carried a small white bag around his waist. Two of the other men accompanying him were white and of a similar age, while the fourth man had darker skin, wearing a green fleece and black trousers.

Police are intensifying their efforts to gather more information, including conducting forensic analysis at the scene and reviewing CCTV footage. Authorities are urging motorists with dashcams who were in the vicinity, as well as local businesses and residents with surveillance cameras, to check for any potentially valuable footage.
