A man from Florida has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a security guard to gain access to Taylor Swift’s recent Eras Tour concert at Hard Rock Stadium. The accused, 44-year-old Ivan Mariotti, is facing charges of falsely impersonating an officer and interference with an entertainment event.
Miami-Dade police were alerted on Friday evening by actual security personnel at around 8:30pm, who spotted Mariotti dressed in a suit with a badge around his neck near the floor/field area of the venue. Upon arrival, authorities found Mariotti, identified as an Uber driver, and took him for questioning in the stadium’s tunnel area.
Mariotti claimed he had been hired by four women to work as a security guard and had escorted them to their seats, despite not having a ticket for the concert. He presented an ID badge and mentioned working for Saint Security. However, further investigation revealed discrepancies in his story when the women he claimed to have been hired by stated they had only hired him as a driver, not a security guard.
The Italian national, Mariotti, was arrested and is currently held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on an immigration hold, despite being granted a $1,500 bond. Taylor Swift, who recently commenced the final leg of her Eras Tour, has announced the forthcoming release of a book featuring exclusive tour photos, rehearsal snapshots, and personal reflections.
The singer expressed her gratitude to her fans, acknowledging their contribution to making the Eras Tour a remarkable experience. Swift also revealed plans for a new version of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, to be released on Vinyl and CD on November 29, exclusively at Target. The artist thanked her fans for their support throughout the tour, emphasising their role in shaping the memorable experience.
