5 dead in shooting at Washington state home with teen in custody, police say

Five people were found dead in a shooting at a home located southeast of Seattle in Fall City, Washington, as reported by law enforcement officials. A teenager has been taken into custody in connection with the tragic incident. The King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Mike Mellis, stated that multiple 911 calls were made around 5 a.m. alerting authorities to the shooting.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies promptly apprehended one teenager and transported another injured teenager to a hospital in Seattle. Both teenagers were residents of the house where the shooting took place. Inside the home, deputies discovered the bodies of five individuals, including two adults and three young teenagers. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.

Sheriff Mellis described the crime scene as significantly grave and indicated that the shooting appeared to involve family members. However, the exact relationship between the victims is still under investigation. Mellis assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community and stated, “I have no reason to think that there will be any additional arrests.”

A neighbour, Lynne Trowern, informed KING-TV that a couple and their five children resided in the home where the tragic event occurred. The Sheriff, Patricia Cole-Tindall, expressed deep sadness and disturbance upon learning about the shooting. The community is in shock and grieving over the loss of lives in this heartbreaking incident.
